Philosophy: “Meet people where they are” around the globe, and provide meaningful solutions to improve their lives, and more importantly, develop short and long term connections to maintain ongoing support and equipping to capacity build. The major goal is empowerment, to create sustainable situations and personal ownership. History: Founding board members M. Christopher Tabakin, Rob Reid, and Carl Green created In His Image International (IHI International) in late 2014 as a nonprofit corporation in Pennsylvania. The organization was created out of our belief that all people of any race, creed, culture, national origin or beliefs, regardless of ability or disability, are created in the image of our Creator God and deserve opportunities. We are classified as a IRS 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization. Our EIN # is 47-2543904. Leadership: IHI is led by M. Christopher Tabakin, the President and CEO, and is supported by the Board of Directors. A strong Advisory Board is comprised of well-respected expert volunteers in a wide variety of disciplines that support the mission and vision of IHI. Who we serve: Vulnerable populations include (but are not limited to) those who have unique needs such as those diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (regardless of origin), autism spectrum disorders, behavior disorders, physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairments, multiple disabilities (including medically fragile), and those who are orphaned, live in poverty and/or war torn regions, have been victims of crime, suffer for mental health needs, or have been abused or otherwise mistreated creating compounding impacts of difficult life circumstances. What we do: We improve lives around the world! We evaluate the needs of vulnerable people internationally and collaborate with local nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations in project countries. We then work to provide for needs, increase opportunities, and elevate the positive image of people by providing direct support, partnerships and collaborations, capacity building of programs, through new and unique ways that are responsive to needs. We bring the world together to help vulnerable international people (VIPs). ercc-member-logo Collaboration Partners: Let There be Light International Kyosiga Community Christian Association for Development (KACCAD) Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf Help the Children Compassionate Malawi Missions Center
